
Daniela Brazil
Daniela was born in the city well known for its musical rythms and dance movement; the famous city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up in the mystical surroundings of Rio helped engulf her with the love of dance and performance thus the popular movements of samba came naturally to her and were the impetus of her future endeavors.
At the age of 5 she realized her passion for dance and she began learning classical ballet, jazz, afro, modern, and folkloric dance. At 8 years of age she was accepted to perform with the famous dance school Maria Olenewa the Brazilian equivalent of the Bolshoi Ballet Company, at which she performed for 10 years in famous operas such as: Aida, Swan Lake, Giselle, Dom Quixote and Nutcracker.
Because of her passion for samba, she participated in folkloric shows with the choreographers of Oba Oba and Plataforma I. Every year she performed in the most famous Brazilian Carnival Parade in Rio de Janeiro. She danced for many well known Samba Schools including: Portela, Tradecao, Caprichosos de Pilars, Unidos da Tijuca, and Beija Flor. Daniela also had the extreme pleasure of dancing professionally for bands, concerts, TV shows and music videos. She was and still is versitile in her dance training and is able to perform in many styles including, Samba, Jazz and Hip Hop. Eventually, she started modeling for commercials and TV shows on NBC in the U.S and Globo TV in Brazil.
In the year 2000, Daniela moved to Los Angeles to further her career. She started to dance samba and formed her dance group called Oya Brazil Samba Show. Her show has performed around the world, including China, Japan, and in various venues accross the U.S. Daniela and her group have appeared on various TV and Award Shows. recently her perfomances included the famous Queen Mary Carnaval in Long Beach, California, the Vibe awards, Nelly (music video) "Flap Ur Wings", Nickelodeon Awards, Badue Band, Happy Kingdom in China and the Jay Leno Show with Will Smith.
